Married Valencourt Vanorsdal

VANORSDAL, VALENCOURT, residence on Timea, between Twelfth and Thirteenth streets; was born in Illinois in August, 1817; when he was 6 years of age, his parents removed to St. Louis, then to this county, 1827, since which Mr. Vanorsdale has been a resident of Lee Co., with the exception of the period for 1853 to 1858, which he spent in California.

Mr. Vanorsdal acts with Republican party.

He has been twice married; first

wife was Miss Louisa  Wright;

wife are Maria, Arthur, Kate, Claude, Amos;

present wife was Adeline Taylor;

one child by present wife-

Simon Valencourt "Court" VANORSDALE, son Valencourt VANORSDALE and Adeline TAYLOR, was born January 21, 1875 in Keokuk, Iowa, and died May 17, 1951 in Missouri.

Simon married CLARA ELLEN WRIGHT October 03, 1897 in Trail Creek Twp., Harrison Co., MO, daughter of ANDREW WRIGHT & RACHEL BEARS. She was born November 07, 1873 in Missouri, and died September 19, 1946 in Missouri.

     

Children of Simon VanOrsdale and Clara Wright are:

i. Valencourt "Val" VanOrsdale, died February 20, 1976. He married Edith DELF.

ii. Veda VanOrsdale. She married Clay SHIRLEY; died May 14, 1980.

iii. Lyle Keith VanOrsdale, born January 29, 1908; died May 23, 1957.

iv. Laurie Edmond "Bump" VanOrsdale, died September 24, 1954. He married Pauline DAVIS.

v. Ruth Telore VanOrsdale, born January 02, 1901; died June 20, 1980 in Missorui. She married Claude L. PRICE February 21, 1920; died June 06, 1971 in Missouri.
